SPECIFICATIONS:
The role ensures:
- Dealer standards are clearly defined, audited and improved.
- Sales teams are trained, certified and aligned to OEM product range.
- Product training across the network (local and cross-border) are properly coordinated, scheduled and completed
This role acts as the link between compliance findings, training execution, and product/segment R&D point.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Compliance & Standards
- Management and oversight of FAW dealer development / upgrade roll-out plan
- Responsible for ensuring all facility signage, layout plans and visibility elements are in alignment with brand CI standard and comply with developed guides.
- Develop and maintain a dealer compliance scorecard.
- Identify, categorise and prioritise compliance gaps.
- Issue and monitor corrective action plans
- Will oversee any further updates and development from both marketing and other department requirements in terms of FAW customer facility
- Liaison for the dealer teams as well as external contractors
- Preparation and dispersion of auditing reports
- Project pipeline completeness
- Time management arrangements
- Dealer status in line with sales department and network management
- Regular visits to dealer sites (complete network) — must have passport / documents for cross-border dealer visits.
Sales Training (New Vehicles)
- Develop and maintain an annual dealer sales training plan (Localized training schedule for product and sales orientation)
- Develop complete content manuals for training in-line with market research and competitor landscape review.
- Co-ordinate with outsourced training providers to ensure:
- Product accuracy / suitability to segments
- Competitive positioning alignment / Key USP drive
- Sales/selling orientations
- Ensure training quality, attendance tracking and certification management
- Co-ordinate cross departmental information for the development of content
- Co-ordinate awards of completion
- Ensure attendance records are kept
- Implement post-training assessments to measure effectiveness
- Maintain a dealer sales certification register
- Monitor training effectiveness indicators (conversion support, margin discipline, positioning confidence)
- Ensure compliance-driven capability gaps are addressed through structured training plans
Product research and development
- Conduct industry standard product comparison reports (to be used in training measures)
- In-dept market assessment across various product range line-ups
- Pricing and transactional detail reports — assessment of competitor landscape and activities
- New product insight — competitor range within ségment
- Financial offering and structure insight
- Customer database zoning and monitoring report
- Interlink to internal product alignment with feedback to training and product departments
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or equivalent
- 5 – 8 years automotive or commercial vehicle industry experience.
- Travel experience local/cross-border and international.
- Experience in commercial sector and research approaches.
- Code 8 licence
- Experience in training coordination or standards compliance preferred. Dealer Network exposure essential.
